Sofa on the wall

Analogous Look - 'Sofa on the wall'

Analogous colour scheme employ two or three similar colours in a space to produce an uniform and harmonious look.  The two obvious analogous colours in the living room above are, Blue & blue violet which are adjacent to one another on the cool side of
the colour wheel.  When contrasting cool shades together, they inevitably warm each other up.

At first you may see this aspect relating to a monochromatic scheme as the couch has lots of shades & tints of blue, but the inclusion of the lilac blue tones of the wall, pouf and rugs are evident with minimal offerings of blue green tones of the light pendant and the subtle green tones in the wood panelled wall.  These are cool colours, and with the inclusion of texture through the use of the cushions, throw, the wool knitted foot stool & pouf and the fluffy rug, it oozes some warmth with the use of these varied tactile textiles.  This would be great look for a living area in a Beach house or Bach.

The wood panelling on the walls are vertical which creates height in the room. The harmonious look combines different elements through varietyshapes i.e. circular rugs, roundness of the poufs, square cushions, rectangular cubby holes in the wood panelled walls and the box style sofa.
